Although born in Denver, Lauren grew up in Kansas City until college. She moved to St. Louis, where she attended Saint Louis University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish in 2019, followed by her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021.

During her formative years, Lauren was a competitive swimmer and then a dancer in a jazz performing troupe and a ballet company. During high school, she became involved in CrossFit, training and competing, which led to her earning a CrossFit Level 1 Instructor certification and coaching CrossFit. Lauren later returned to her roots in dance after studying Latin Rhythms and Dance in Madrid, Spain, during college. She returned to the U.S. and was invited to join SLU's Acrobatic Salsa Team, Sazon, where she danced for two more years. Lauren then discovered West Coast Swing and currently dances and instructs locally.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog Giovanni, cooking and baking, working out, traveling, hiking/being outdoors, dancing and teaching West Coast Swing.
